The reality show ends after one season.
September 2, 2014
It is being reported that TBS has cancelled CeeLo Green's The Good Life. The freshman reality series aired one season on the cable network this summer, where it averaged a mere 677,000 weekly viewers when factoring in delayed viewing.
The show's cancellation comes just one day after the musician deleted his Twitter account following controversial remarks he made about rape in relation to a recent felony charge against him.

Perhaps Cee Lo was being a weirdo on Twitter about the "rape" thing. Thank God TBS cancelled this wacko.

Curious I have never heard anyone call Cee lo manly or cool because of his weight, maybe his music but not his weight. If a big white man was a talented white man he would be thought of the same way. The problem is that most big white guys that are in the public eye are sloppy comedians who don't have the same type of personality or stage presence that a singer has. I have never heard of Cee lo as being attractive either, but my friends and I (all black women) do make fun of him for his little pterodactyl arms.

How come big, fat black guys are often seen as "cool" or "manly" as if they weren't fat at all when they are HUGE!!! Yet big, fat white guys are always seen as dopey, moronic, slobs? Ceelo needs to use some of that money on a personal trainer and nutritionist. (not to mention speech therapist.

Amen! I couldn't even get through one episode. I love his music, but this show didn't exactly show him at his best.

Singers should concentrate on singing and I can't wait for the reality tv craze to stop and get back to real television where there are actors, writers and quality. If any of you out there are watching reality tv shows you are to blame for the cancelations of real scripted shows. You are telling the networks what you want them to invest in. You vote with your choices in tv watching. And sadly this society is the most superficial and unconnected (I'm not talking connected to a device like your iPhone) and the network gives us cheap tv cause that's what people seem to want and they LOVE it cause it's inexpensive to make like popcorn.

He can always fall back to his job as the villain in Flash Gordon.

I agree. This didn't deserve 1 episode. Why can't celebrities DO anything on their shows? They mostly sit around with their moronic friends and do NOTHING. How does that make a show? I'm glad he got the axe, especially after what he said about rape. Eff him and good riddance.

regardless of his comments, this didn't deserve a second season (or even a first). I watched one episode and I was sitting there thinking "why am I watching this? why would someone do a show about him? who cares?"
