No Season 2 for the crime drama.
May 8, 2015
CBS has cancelled Battle Creek after one season. The comedic crime drama premiered in March as a midseason replacement but faltered in the ratings, starting low and slipping further during the course of its run. The show still has four episodes remaining before calling it quits for good.

I seem to be the kiss of death for new shows - I watched Battle Creek and Backstrom and both of them were cancelled. I liked the light comedy in Battle Creek with the interesting characters but, of course, I like it, so it gets cancelled.

Here we go again. Seems every time I enjoy a new show with characters /cast that are interesting it gets cancelled. So tired of reality TV. Give the new shows a flippin chance.

My husband and I loved Battle Creek. With all the police controversy going on it was a nice show to show. We hated hating having it run late and would missed the end. Hopefully Netflix picks it up. Star Trek was short lived but look what happened to that cast and crew

This show was terrific. It was a must watch for me and my husband. I am really surprised that it's been cancelled. So much junk out there, not much true entertainment like this one. Any chance that they might reconsider? Perhaps Amazon or Netflix will pick it up.

I cried out in pain when you cancelled this show. I don't know if I want to continue giving your new shows a chance or look-see when I get hooked and then you cancel them. I would be more careful from now on or your network may just get cancelled!

I am completely frustrated. I really liked this show. It had a miserable time slot following spots and ending up running late into the evening - bad if you were taping it. I think CBS didn't give it a chance. How about a different time slot??

How unfair can CBS be to a show and the viewers. I wish there was some kind of minimum commitment required for new shows, at least a full season run. I give them my time to establish a following and they dump them way too quickly. If CBS tries to cancel Hawaii 5-0 I will put them probation and give any new shows very strong consideration before even watching one episode.
