A tormented "Columbo" This is/was a fresh outside the box crime drama. BRING IT BACK! Put "Big Bang" against "Seinfeld" Big Bang would have been canceled after 4 episodes. C'mon Fox...REALLY???

Utterly disappointed. This quickly became my favorite show. It was unique, well written and acted with awesome characters. Fox made a huge mistake.

What a huge mistake to cancel Backstrom, it was such a cool drama show. I recorded every show this season. Fox you keep the stupid shows

Such a shame. Wasn't given much of a chance. I admit it had a bumpy start but got much better with each episode. The title character became much more human and much less gross. THIS is cancelled but Undercover Boss is renewed? How many people are there still left in the workforce who wouldn't catch on when a film crew arrives to follow around a new employee? How is THAT still entertaining?

NO SURPRISE HERE. GOOD PLOT, WELL WRITTEN, WELL ACTED, INTERESTING CHARACTERS. IF IT HAD BEEN A CARTOON, FOX WOULD HAVE RENEWED IT FOR 20+ YEARS.LOOKS LIKE FOX "FOX UP" AGAIN. FOX EXECS.,"I'M YOU"!WHAT TIME IS MY FRONTAL LABOTOMY SCHEDULED FOR???

I thought this show was going to do very well. The cast is very diverse and interesting. I think people don't like him because they see too much of themselves in him. Most of us are messed up in some way, problem being too many of us are judgmental, so Backstrom took the hit.

Really enjoyed this show. Quirky,scruffy,or older characters don't seem to do well in this age of vanity.(ie:Terriers, Longmire). The shows we look forward to the most get cancelled, and drivel remains.

This sucks. I really liked this show and its characters. It's really a pain in the a$$ when you start to like a show and then they pull it.

I'm so sad this was cancelled.
The story lines, the acting, just can't believe it.
Is it people can't stand a good story anymore?

Looks like a reinvention by A&E perhaps. One of the few shows I turned off playoff hockey for.
