The sketch comedy series will conclude after five seasons.
July 25, 2015
It is being reported that Key & Peele is coming to an end after its current fifth season. Star Keegan-Michael Key broke the news to TheWrap yesterday, confirming that the show was not cancelled, but rather he and co-star Jordan Peele wanted to start exploring other things in their careers. He also mentioned the possibility of a Key & Peele movie down the road.
The sketch comedy series premiered on Comedy Central in 2012, where it quickly made its mark as the network's most-watched series launch since 2009. By the time it concludes in September over 50 episodes will have aired. And with a growing number of Emmy nominations in each of the last three years, the series will be ending on a creative high.

I understand it. I don't like it though. But I get it. At least they are ending on a high note.

I will miss the show. I looked forward to Wednesday nights for a beer, laugh and some relax time. I guess I'm going to have to find something else for hump day release. However, I do wish them both luck on there new careers.

Smart move. They both realized how much money is on the table for them right now, especially when acting as a free agent.

The skits were hit of miss for me, some really were funny while others not so much. It will be interesting to see though what they both do either together or apart from one another.

It's a shame but I understand. This show is always good for a laugh. Many old great skits that I still watch and laugh just as hard. Lol good luck to them both! It was good while it lasted.
