The comedy has its episode count trimmed.
October 27, 2015
NBC has cut back on the first season of Truth Be Told, trimming its episodes down to 10 from its original order of 13. The freshman comedy, which has only been on the air for two weeks, has not performed well in its 8:30pm Friday time slot.
With its slow start and episode reduction, a second season for Truth Be Told is out of the question. The show remains on the network's schedule for now, where it will likely stay to air its remaining eight episodes.
Cutting back on struggling shows appears to a trend this season, as other low-rated freshman series have also been getting cut back by other networks. ABC's Blood & Oil, NBC's The Player, and Fox's Minority Report have all had their original episode orders shortened after slow starts.

I looked it up and wiki says it's been canceled. And tone bell was just seen on the flash as the editor of the newspaper in the show.

You put a NEW show on Fri night and you wonder why it's ratings are low? Typically Fri nights is where networks send shows to die (which is why I'm not happy with Undateable being on Fri's either) so what did the network expect? Networks are all about the '18-24 demographic' so why would they put a new show on a Fri when those people are out partying?

Tone Bell is a great stand up comedian and I really wanted this show to make it. He was the best thing in the show "Bad Judge" and I was hoping to see him find another show. Not surprised that this is most likely going to be canceled.

Not surprised. The show is awful.
Crazy cheesy, and overacted, by all the cast, except Mark-Paul Gosselaar. Who should be given a better script and cast to work with.

Never heard of this show. This could be why the ratings are so low.

also not surprised. nothing that hasn't been done before. I was thinking after the first one "this isn't even gonna make it to a 4th episode", and watching last week's reinforced my guess.

This is kind of a bummer but not surprised. The first two episodes have been okay, but I did enjoy it. There was some work to be done for sure, but it had potential. Succeeding on NBC is tough anyway as they never have their expectations met it seems.
