Just two episodes remain for the animated series.
November 21, 2015
Alex Hirsch, creator of Gravity Falls, has announced that the animated series will be concluding after its current season. With just two episodes remaining, the short-notice news came via a 'Goodbye' letter posted on Hirsch's tumblr.
In the note, he expressed gratitude for all the fans and made it clear that Gravity Falls isn't being cancelled, but rather it was his choice to end the show after telling the story of one epic summer that had a proper conclusion for its characters.
The penultimate episode of Gravity Falls airs this Monday, with an hour-long series finale coming at yet-to-be-determined date.
Update: The Gravity Falls series finale airs on Monday, February 15 at 7:00pm.

well it was only on for 3 years and 2 seasons but it really feels like more. Im glad they are giving a conclusion and not just stopping it dead in the water like sooo many other cartoons have done. It wasn't the 10 year run that we got from Ed, Edd n Eddy (only 69 episodes in those 10 years) but what we got out of it was nearly all quality and it never got a chance to start getting bad.

Better they end it on a high note instead of them dragging it out till viewers stop watching. Whether cause it gets ridiculous or old. Also perk it's not a cliff hanger.
