The new comedy is pulled from the schedule.
February 9, 2016
It is being reported that CBS has cancelled Angel From Hell after just five episodes. The freshman comedy, which starred Jane Lynch, drew modest ratings in its Thursday night time slot, but ultimately fell short of expectations.
Beginning February 18, new episodes of 2 Broke Girls will be taking over on Thursdays at 9:30pm. Until then, a repeat of The Big Bang Theory will air in its place this week.

I thought this show was hysterical but reading the comments here I guess I'm alone on that. I'm really disappointed. I thought the role was perfect for Jane Lynch, her character on this show is kind of how I picture her being all the time.

Interesting concept. Love Maggie Lawson. Casting Jane Lynch was a mistake. I don't care for her. I won't watch anything she is in.

Everybody has been hitting the nail on the head. The angel acted like a creepy old lady looking for a friend. Fine. The age difference made it creepy though. Not a mentor / mentored thing but a creepy old friend vibe. The angel's lines were written as if she was trying to tell a bad joke, but acted as if they were serious. They gave the girl problems so that the angel could solve them, not have the angel solve problems the girl had. Overall it was a mess. I just hope this doesn't turn CBS off real shows. They need to get away from Multi-camera "setcoms" with laugh tracks if they want to compete with modern entertainment.

The show was just another one of many programs that cry out "Do what you want to heck with the consequences "
It would be refreshing to find some programing that is funny without constant vulgarity or sexual overtones.

I need to stop watching new shows. Anyone I like gets cancelled. Come on CBS.

Agree with Michael......this show could have been very funny with the right writers. The storyline was good, the actors were good, the writing was horrible.
Too bad, it could've been a really good show.

It wasn't dreadful but it wasn't very funny either. Jane Lynch wore the same clothes every week and befriended and moved in with a woman young enough to be her daughter which is kind of creepy.

The concept was very interesting but the writers didn't know where to go with it... That's what killed the show off.
As for the Actors, I think they were great even though the material they were given to work with was crap...!!!
