No Season 2 for the movie-based drama.
May 25, 2016
CBS has cancelled Limitless after its first season. The news comes a week after the freshman drama was left off the network's 2016-2017 schedule, though at the time executives stated they were exploring moving the series to another network.
Confirmation of Limitless' cancellation came this afternoon from showrunner Craig Sweeny, who took to Twitter with the news:
"I'm truly sad to report that #Limitless will not continue on any platform. Thanks so much to everyone who watched."

I enjoyed watching Brian but don't care for the 28 year old goofball character. The show uses novel techniques to tell a story, it's very different, ironically they distract from the story itself. Brian talking to other Brians... it gets old. Many scenarios, no story.

This is terrible as I enjoyed the show ALOT. I loved the characters and glad it was a movie before it was a tv show.
But why did you have to cancel it? Season 2 would've been amazing trying to track down the Senator.

OK so I'm not a veteran poster... In fact this is my first post and I realize nobody in power may ever see it and it's likely too later anyway but YOU GUYS SUCK. For you "demo" people my wife and I are in the "30 to 40's" demo and have (good) jobs and we both loved the show. I would actually pay to watch it. Is it perfect? No. Who cares.. It ENTERTAINED ME. So much on TV is reality crap, Sister Wives, True Grit, some stupid show about drunk people from the south locked into the same house... At least this show had a premise, entertaining characters AND the ability to develop not only characters but a storyline? Guess that's too much to ask. AMAZON PRIME/NETFLIX I'lL PAY FOR IT!

Oh for crying out loud! The Family, Heartbeat and now they're killing Limitless as well. And meanwhile the now horrible second season of Wayward Pines plays on.

@Kminer
I feel you. I was actually just having some fun with this, I may have made one or two of those comments myself. Yes it sucks when a show gets canceled. I really liked Backstrom and it got the first season ax, and ended on a cliffhanger. However, I don't blame the network when a show gets canceled on a cliffhanger. I blame the show runner. Why end a show that way when you don't have a second season locked and loaded already? But I digress. My list was just to have a little fun with some of the comments made.
@WB
I was waiting for someone else to call you out on this but nobody did so I will. Debra Messing? She wasn't on this show!

Meh. They experimented a lot with various production techniques and sometimes silly gimmicks (not that the entire show is based on a silly gimmick. It wasn't entirely unwatchable, but it wasn't a show that was destined to last. The premise wore thin quickly and the writer had to start inventing arcs on-the-fly.
I am sad to see the affinity for reality shows featuring dumb asses. The sadness is that less and less effort is being made toward making good scripted procedural shows when it's just cheap and easy to pull in moderate ratings with drivel.

You mean a show glorifying the use of drugs was cancelled? That's too bad...

I only watched cause Bradley Cooper is an awesome person and I loved the hangover trilogy. Sadly the gimmick kinda lost interest for me though. I tried to muscle through watching it but the main character (not actor) was really annoying and the writing lost its spark. It should of tried to be more action and less drama (or less CW cause no one does unneeded drama better then them). Goodbye limitless it was fun for a bit. Sorry to the super fans, it sucks to loose a show that you love.
