Season 2 ordered for the game show revival.
August 5, 2016
ABC will be keeping game shows in its lineup for at least another season. The network has renewed its new incarnation of The $100,000 Pyramid for a second season along with three other game show revivals. The new Pyramid, hosted by Michael Strahan, premiered in late June as part of ABC's Sunday Fun & Games block, airing in the 9:00pm hour in between Celebrity Family Feud and Match Game.
The show had a strong premiere for the network, with its first episode's ratings topping both of the other two aforementioned game shows in ABC's lineup that night. With Feud and Match Game renewed as well, look for the game show block to return again next summer.

Great decision, ABC; I love this show! It's certainly better than those reality shows.

Can't stand Strahan. I don't think he has the proper presence for a game show host.

This is a old standard. It's smart to keep it around. What new gameshow is going to catch on these days?
