A conclusion has been set for the Bravo drama.
August 5, 2016
Bravo confirmed today that Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce will be ending after its fifth season. But with the series being only two seasons into its run, fans will have quite a bit more time to enjoy the show before it signs off for good.
Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce, which is based on the Girlfriends' Guides series of books by Vicki Iovine, premiered in 2014 as Bravo's first original scripted series. The drama has performed well for the network through its first two seasons, with its second-season finale in February ranking as the most-watched episode of its sophomore season with 1.2 million total viewers. The show was subsequently picked up for three additional seasons back in April which, as we've learned today, will round out its run.
A total of 19 episodes have been ordered for the show's remaining three seasons, which works out to seven for Season 3, followed by six episodes each for Seasons 4 and 5. That number is down considerably from the 13 episodes Seasons 1 and 2 each produced.
No premiere date has been set yet for Season 3, though the plan is to film all 19 remaining episodes back-to-back, with only short breaks in between. That could reduce the time between the final seasons once the show returns.
