The true crime series returns this month.
February 5, 2017
A&E is bringing back Cold Case Files for another run of investigation into unsolved murders. It has been 10 years since the Emmy-nominated true crime series aired its last episode, where over its seven-year original run it accumulated an impressive 125 episodes while becoming one of the cable network's most successful series of all time.
Look for the Cold Case Files revival to premiere on Monday, February 27 for a 10-episode run with narrator Danny Glover.

So happy they bought the show back and extra happy Bill Kurtis is back. I got kind of tired of watching the same episodes over and over on YouTube. It's something about his voice that sounds like a bedtime story and the words and phrases he uses makes the show great!

I saw every episode of the original Cold Case Files and it was one of my favorite shows ever. Bill Kurtis was an amazing narrator. I was so excited to see see a reboot of the show, but it just isn't the same with Danny Glover. I love him and he was doing a great job narrating, but Bill Kurtis is one of a kind. I was so surprised when I turned it on tonight and immediately recognized Bill Kurtis' voice! I hope he continues narrating the show! I'm so happy!

I just watched last week's episode. To all those who are wondering, they BROUGHT BACK Bill Curtis to narrate. The newest episode, which aired on 5/25 was narrated by him and seems that the remaining episodes of the season will also be narrated by him as well. Thursdays at 10pm. :)

Hey, I've been waiting for more episodes as well. This past Thursday there was one I must have missed, it said originally aired in April. And Bill Curtis, the original narrator was narrating the show. He is my fav. for sure. What is going on with all this ?
Thanks,
Jim.

UPDATE: The A&E show 'Cold Case Files,' which had rescheduled an episode featuring a McDowell murder case, has again been postponed. We were forwarded the following email statement today: "AETV has made some changes. AE is going through a reboot of the Cold Case Files series, meaning this week they're beginning a month hiatus. Upon return of hiatus, Cold Case will re-start the series from episode 1-10 and will air on Thursday nights. I'm not certain of the episode air date (could be May - Zilpha episode is #5 in the series) but will stay in touch to notify you."

I just read that the show had a 1 month hiatus but will resume in may.. I too kept searching for new episodes and couldn't find them! So I'm glad it will continue for a total of 10 episodes!!

WHERE IS THE SERIES!!!

I am also wondering has the series been cancelled. Just wen you get all geared up for the return of a good show, you set the PVR, it records the program and then....... I don't mind Danny Glover narrating the show, just have to get used to it not being Bill Kurtis. So what's happening with this series? 10 episodes were ordered but only 4 put out. Anyone have an answer?
