"2 of the greatest actresses ever " is a reeeeeeeaaaaaal streeeeeettttch. They weren't great. They were merely part of the handful of actresses that got roles in the 50s. Unlike today, there were only 20-30 actors and actresses in every movie. You had the "bombshell" group - Monroe, Kelly, Mansfield, Hayworth... then you had the "wife" group.. Davis, Crawford, Russell. Then you had the "exotic" group - Loren, Wood. So it's not like the poole was huge, it wasn't. I personally always though Davis was a fairly mediocre actress. Crawford was okay. Standard were LOW then it was all still a new medium.

Thanks Rodger, I may just do that. Also, did Britney and Christina have a real rivalry? Always thought it was just a who's hotter arguement between guys. The Plopster was always a Britney lean in that debate.

I love the concept too and I can understand the early pick up as well. @Plop - Bette Davis and Joan Crawford are 2 of the greatest actresses ever and if you can try to find their movie on Roku or stream it on your PC or phone, it's great! Personally, I cannot wait for Britney Spears vs Christina Aguilera LOL.

Its just a show, Johny. Its just a show. I agree it is odd that it is renewed already, but I wouldn't worry about society just because of it. As far as the early renewal, this is the type of show that can reinvent itself each season. I won't watch season one because I have no clue who those people are (Bette Davis and Joan Crawford) and never seen the movie that their feud took place during, but if season 3 is a feud between people I am aware of like Betty White and Bea Arthur and their feud during The Golden Girls, I would total watch. So even if season one isn't a hit, season two or three can be because they are stand alone, and not dependant on previous seasons. So for this particular show, an early renewal makes sense since they already have a completely new story on the table.

They proved my point. The show has not aired but been renewed. Sure it might do well, but why not wait to see if it does? Pre-premiere renewals are a marketing ploy. Why say it has been renewed, not just what season 2 is planned to be? We need to look deeper into things if we want to survive as a society.

It hasn't started yet, I'm sure it will do quite well to get an early renewal.
