USA Network announced today that Falling Water has been renewed for a second season. The supernatural drama premiered last fall to mixed reviews and ended its 10-episode freshman run as the cable network's lowest-rated original series with an average of less than 500,000 viewers.
Joining the series as showrunner for Season 2 will be Remi Aubuchon, who was previously at the helm of Falling Skies. Aubuchon replaces Blake Masters, who will remain on in an executive producer role when the show returns later this year.
Falling Water follows the story of three unrelated people who are each on a different mysterious personal quest using their dreams. Clues they find in these visions help them realize that they are each dreaming a separate part of one common dream. With this knowledge, they find that the deeper they dig, the more their missions touch on stakes that are larger than their individual agendas - and even might hold the key to the fate of the world.
