The political drama will return for Season 2.
May 11, 2017
Word is out this evening that ABC has renewed Designated Survivor for a second season. The good news was somewhat expected, as the freshman series has been one of the network's best-performing new entries this season.
The political drama marks Kiefer Sutherland's first return to a starring role on television since 2014's 24: Live Another Day. Sutherland plays a Cabinet member who is unexpectedly thrust into the role of President of the United States after a bombing at the Capitol kills a number of key government figures. After being sworn in as President, he starts to learn that the catastrophic attack was only the beginning of a much larger plan.
Look for Season 2 of Designated Survivor this fall.

The ratings showed that Designated Survivor was watched by millions. Idiots don’t know when a going thing is happening.
The stupid reality shows need to go. They are fake just like WWE.

Great! Kiefer Sutherland and Maggie Q in the same show....doesn't get much better for me than that.

I am happy that this show will be back. This gripping political thriller has everything: a wide-ranging political conspiracy, a cunning villain and Kiefer Sutherland as the President we wish we had instead of who we have now.
