The competition series will return next year.

NBC announced today that World of Dance has been renewed for a second season. Executive-produced by Jennifer Lopez, the competition series premiered late last month and has been enjoying a solid summer run for the peacock network.
Through its first month on the air, World of Dance has not only been handily winning against its 10:00pm Tuesday time slot competition, it ranks as the #2 series this summer, only behind its lead-in, America's Got Talent.
World of Dance brings together some of the world's most elite dancers in a fierce competition of artistry and athleticism. Solo dancers, duos, and crews engage in epic battles that showcase a wide range of dance styles including everything from hip hop and break dancing to ballet and ballroom.

Why are you keeping all these reality type crappy shows on and cancelling the good fiction shows? I don't get it. This show looks fixed and actually there are too many dance shows on already.

This is what passes for dancing these days!?! It's crap. The show's ratings are high because folks watching it's lead in America's Got Talent fell asleep and never switched off their TVs! lol

Not even finished with their 1st season and they renew it. Its a bunch of crap, another show all about dancers, it seems like there's never enough. DWTS is awesome, so you think you can dance = ehhhhh fine, AGT is for others but dancers do appear, this is just another crappy write off that wants to get ratings, how about stop the dumb reality tv shows and keep the good scripted shows

Seems we've all been relegated to A) Horrible reality competitions B) Formulaic Cop/Legal dramas or C) Rebooted Game shows for prime time tv on all major networks. What a horrible state network TV is in.
