The British comedy will return in 2019.

It was announced today that Fleabag will be returning for a second season, though with a bit of a wait involved. The good news was confirmed today by creator and star Phoebe Waller-Bridge at the Edinburgh International Television Festival.
The British comedy, which Amazon acquired in 2016, is adapted from the award-winning one-woman play of the same name and focuses on a broken and angry young woman trying to cope with modern life in London while dealing with a recent tragedy.
Fleabag's first season was released on Amazon Prime last fall after initially premiering on the UK's BBC Three earlier in the year. Season 2, though, is not expected to air on either platform until sometime in 2019. The extended wait is likely due to the fact that Waller-Bridge is currently working on her role in the upcoming Star Wars movie that will focus on Han Solo.
