The alien-abductee comedy will return in 2018.
September 13, 2017
TBS announced today that People of Earth will be returning for a third season. The good news comes two weeks ahead of the comedy's sophomore finale, which is scheduled to air on September 25.
The series follows a journalist who starts investigating an alien abductee support group. His initial skepticism subsides after digging deeper into their bizarre claims, to the point where he realizes that there may be evidence of his own alien abduction.
Premiering in 2016, the show got off to a strong start during its freshman run, where it was one of the Top 10 new cable comedies of the year among adults 18-49. Viewership has dipped slightly during Season 2, but has managed to remain relatively close to the previous year's numbers.
Look for Season 3 of People of Earth in 2018.
