NBC announced today that Making It will be returning for a second season. The good news comes just three episodes into the competition series' freshman run, which is off to a solid start for the network.
The series debuted on July 31, airing after America's Got Talent on Tuesday nights. Its premiere garnered 6.3 million viewers with an impressive 1.4 rating among adults 18-49 (Live+7). Those numbers rank the episode as the summer's most-watched and top-rated series premiere across the four major broadcast networks.
Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman host the lighthearted reality competition, which tasks eight of the country's most talented makers with a variety of handmade projects based around a central theme. Their goal is to impress the hosts as well as expert judges Simon Doonan and Dayna Isom Johnson.
A new episode of Making It airs tonight, with three episodes remaining until the season finale on September 4. Look for Season 2 in the summer of 2019.

I don't watch Making It or any other inane reality show, but this one evidently has viewers and it's good ratings is why it's been renewed.
