No Season 2 for the legal drama.

It is being reported that Fox has cancelled Proven Innocent after one season. The news comes one day after the legal drama aired its freshman finale, which will now act as its series-ender.
The show premiered in February as a mid-season entry but never really gained any traction. Critical reception was decidedly mixed and it struggled to garner a sizable amount of viewers.
Proven Innocent follows Madeline Scott, the head of an underdog criminal defence firm who is on a mission to set innocent people free, as she was once in the same situation. While she may be a hero to some, Madeline's bold tactics are not appreciated by Gore Bellows, the prosecutor who once secured her conviction and still believes in her guilt. But despite Bellows' incessant quest to see her locked up, Madeline puts her energy towards defending others, even while fighting to maintain her innocence and possibly find the real killer in her own case.

I watched the first season but don't think I would have made it to season two. Constant pushing of liberal ideologies and no attempt to balance.

That was a real snoozer. By the end of the last episode, I couldn’t have cared less who killed Rosemary.

Too bad !! This was a good show with a unique concept !! Could have had a new case every week !! I too am upset about FOR THE PEOPLE and THE COOL KIDS !!

I'm not surprised. I liked the show, but with them resolving everything in the finale (Who killed Rosemary?), I expected it was one and done. I'm more disappointed about For the People, The Passage and Cool Kids being cancelled.

So annoyed this was a great show the finale was great was hoping to see them bring down Bellows for the murder. So many storylines for season 2 could have been. And also For the People cancelled no more Littlejohn and Cool Kids that show made me laugh.

I watched 1 episode and then took a 'wait and see' approach, I didn't hate it and I was interested in how it would move along. But I guess it didn't move along well enough for a renewal - time to delete I guess.

Good riddance, I can't believe I watched an entire season of this crap. The Violet podcasts I had to fast forward through. Bodie with his sex maniac cop girlfriend was weird, especially throwing the adopting the kid part into it. The writers must have been on dope writing this mess......

This cancellation was easily predicted. I barely got thru the pilot lol. I'm just surprised they made it to their finale. It was bad enuf it could have been cancelled after the pilot.
