Netflix has confirmed that Season 3 of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is on the way, announcing an August premiere date for the animated action drama.
It's a quick turnaround between seasons, as the show's sophomore run was released just weeks ago. The show moved to a shortened season format for Season 2, with its seven-episode length down considerably from Season 1's 13. The length of the upcoming third season has not been revealed, but it looks like the shortened format will be the new norm, as it helps to reduce long wait times between seasons.
A updated take on the popular 1980s television series, She-Ra follows Adora, a Horde solider who, after sneaking out following a training mission, finds a magical sword in the Whispering Woods. Princess Glimmer wants to use it for the Rebellion, so Adora joins the cause and in doing so, finds her identity as the legendary hero known as She-Ra.
Season 3 of She-Ra will release on Friday, August 2.
