Starz announced today that Vida has been picked up for a third season. The drama just recently returned for its sophomore run, which once again has been garnering a high amount of critical praise.
The series premiered in 2018 and quickly earned the year's largest Hispanic audience composition for a premium series. It was also an Audience Award winner at the 2018 SXSW Film Festival, with viewers impressed by its intriguing storytelling and strong cast. More recently, the show took home a 2019 GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
Vida follows Lyn and Emma, two Mexican-American sisters from the East side of Los Angeles who are nothing like each other. Though while their differences have caused them to become estranged, circumstances arise that force them to return to their old neighborhood and confront the past.
Look for Season 3 of Vida in mid-2020.
