The dark comedy will return for Season 2.

Netflix announced this evening that Dead to Me has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes exactly one month after its freshman release, which has been met with a good amount of critical praise, in-part attributed to the strength of its leading actresses Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini.
Applegate stars in the dark comedy as Jen, a tightly-wound widow who unexpectedly finds a deep friendship with Cardellini's Judy, a free spirit who harbors a surprising and troubling secret.
Look for Season 2 of Dead to Me in 2020.

My husband and I loved this show. Good people doing bad stuff...YES! Unlikeable people in need of empathy...YES! Awaiting season two and solving the pool “problem “.

This show is ok. Not bad, but not great either. I really liked the Judy character, even given what she did, but I could not feel sorry for Jen. She was just so unlikable. I understand she's supposed to be grieving and vulnerable, but she came off as crass and bullish. I found myself rooting for Judy. I don't want to see her get in trouble. I'm not sure I'll tune in for the second season though. Just too many characters I don't care for.

I just started watching. Not sure I see the appeal as of yet. I love Linda Cardellini though so I'll keep at it but so far it's not as great as some have claimed. The acting is fantastic but I'm not feeling the story line. Perhaps it'll get better as I get farther in?

Don't get me wrong. I like the show ,But Netflix getting rid of SCD for this show. Leaving people with a cliffhanger and then cancel the show. I am happy they have a 2nd season but I hope this show keep that same energy for the new season.
