The mid-season drama will not return.
June 7, 2019
It is being reported that CBS has cancelled The Red Line after just one season. Billed as a limited series, meaning less episodes than a typical network show, the drama aired a short eight-episode run as a mid-season entry this spring.
While reviews were generally positive, the series failed to garner much buzz over the course of its run. Airing on Sunday nights, episodes were regularly bested by its time slot competition.
The Red Line follows the stories of three Chicago families affected by a racially-charged tragedy. As their stories converge, they all discover that issues of race cannot be ignored, and people's backgrounds and biases affect how they act.

As for Redline.. watched 30 minutes.. liberal, righteous, wannabe social warrior, crap. Horrible show.

Not a surprised, it was a LIMITED series which means one season. The show was realistic dealing with cops shooting unarmed black men and getting paid vacation leaving the family to deal with the peices. The pacing was VERY slow and could have been 2 night mini series and actor who played the daughter was horrible and had too much freedom for a 15 year old. We need more stories like this to keep social injustices alive.

Very boring and slow moving. I made it through one episode.

A Makeup-umentary on MSNBC would have been a better fit for this show. UNWATCHABLE.

Why bother watching any mid season show. 99% of them don't get a 2nd season.
