No Season 2 for the British-Spanish thriller.
August 18, 2020
Word is out that Netflix has cancelled White Lines after just one season. Actor Daniel Mays, who plays Marcus on the show, posted the sad news on his Instagram account in response to circulating reports in recent days.
The British-Spanish drama premiered on the streaming service in May, following a woman who learns that the body of her legendary British DJ brother has been discovered decades after his mysterious disappearance from Ibiza. She leaves her quiet life behind to look into what really happened to him, and after arriving at the Spanish island, discovers a dangerous new world of deception and cover-ups. This forces her to confront the darker side of herself in a place where people live life on the edge.

Following the reports in the press over the past couple of days and for all those asking me on here, it’s with a heavy heart I post the #WhiteLines season 2 ship has well and truly sailed. Huge thanks, respect and admiration to @netflix @netflixuk @alexpinaoficial @leftbankpictures and @vancouvermedia_ for the ride of a lifetime. Love to the incredible cast & crew and to all the amazing fans for watching around the globe. Your support for the show meant the world to us. So THANK YOU! Farewell Marcus.........you were my favourite.
I'd rather Netflix focus on another series in the same vein instead.
