The comedy is no longer returning for Season 3.
August 25, 2020
Reports are out that TruTV has cancelled I'm Sorry after two seasons. The move continues the recent trend of renewal reversals, as the cable network had already ordered a third season of the comedy last year. Filming had apparently already started before all Hollywood productions were shutdown in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
While TV show renewals are rarely reversed, there have been four in just the past week. Tosh.0 and Drunk History were axed at Comedy Central, and The Society has been cancelled by Netflix. All had forthcoming seasons planned or already in the works.
Created by and starring Andrea Savage, who plays a fictionalized version of herself, I'm Sorry follows an outwardly confident comedy writer, wife and mother with no filter who comically reveals her inner immaturity and anxieties through unexpected life situations.

And there goes the last comedy that actually evokes a laugh out of me. With Modern Family ending and Bless This Mess getting axed, that leaves me with zero comedies to continue enjoying. Way to go networks...keeping trash and canceling class!

This was one of the best shows out there, I'm very disappointed....the good news is it looks like I can now drop the one streaming service that had tru tv at least!

What a shame and bad decision. I was looking forward to Season 3.

They are renaming truTV to the "Impractical Jokers network" I mean that ALL THEY RUN..... I'm Sorry was such a good show. This is a shame.

I’m Sorry that this was canceled, as it was a decent sitcom with actors that had great chemistry.

That's too bad. This was a fun, quirky show and Andrea Savage is amazingly attractive as well as funny. Tom Everett Scott was also very good as her straight man/husband. I'll miss this show.

Damn! I've been waiting for this show to return. I assumed they were working a lot on it before COVID because it's been quite awhile since the last season. I hope another network or streaming service picks it up. This show is too clever and too different to waste.
