The comedy is no longer returning for Season 3.

Reports are out that TruTV has cancelled I'm Sorry after two seasons. The move continues the recent trend of renewal reversals, as the cable network had already ordered a third season of the comedy last year. Filming had apparently already started before all Hollywood productions were shutdown in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
While TV show renewals are rarely reversed, there have been four in just the past week. Tosh.0 and Drunk History were axed at Comedy Central, and The Society has been cancelled by Netflix. All had forthcoming seasons planned or already in the works.
Created by and starring Andrea Savage, who plays a fictionalized version of herself, I'm Sorry follows an outwardly confident comedy writer, wife and mother with no filter who comically reveals her inner immaturity and anxieties through unexpected life situations.
1/6 It is with the saddest heart that I have to report this but @TBSNetwork @trutv has decided to shut down season 3 of #imsorrytv mid production. Posting a series of videos to help give context. Love u guys! Thanks for always supporting our little show that could. ššš pic.twitter.com/GoSTSDhBDS
