The spin-off series will continue in 2021.

Starz announced today that Power Book II: Ghost has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes just three episodes into the drama's sophomore run, which has gotten off to a solid start.
In its first week, the show garnered over 7 million multi-platform views, which ranks it as the cable network's most-watched new series of all time. The Starz app also got a boost during that time period, with subscriber acquisition climbing 42%.
The first spin-off series in the expanding Power universe, Power Book II: Ghost picks up shortly after the events in the final episode of Power. Tasha is facing charges for the murder Tariq committed. Tariq, meanwhile, is splitting his time between earning his inheritance by going to university and hustling to pay for the defense lawyer working to get his mom out of jail. This leads Tariq to the drug game and getting mixed up with a cutthroat family - and the realization that he must become a better version of his father in order to avoid meeting a similar fate.
Look for Season 2 of Power Book II: Ghost in 2021.

Butt Reynolds.. yeah .. white cast and crime.. now.. give examples of a black cast WITHOUT crime??? Where are the "ER/Greys Anatomy", "Law and Order/NCIS", "Thin Blue Line" or "Chicago PD/FD/ER", "Magnum PI" shows with a predominantly black cast? The ONLY major hour-long drama, black cast, show which is NOT crime-based I can think of is Empire.. and that was close to crime based. HBO has Lovecraft Country now.. so thats one I guess. I suppose Watchmen may count, but that was so WOKE on a different level I'm not sure it counts. --- I'm not pushing any agenda. I merely find it interesting.

Yeah Yeah Yeah - I understand the point you're attempting to make but its a gross generalization. Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Ozark, Mad Men, Succession, etc. all hour long drama's featuring predominately white casts, that glorify crime, greed, and immorality. I'm actually struggling to think of an hour long drama that doesn't revolve around an anti hero of any race.
Yeah Yeah Yeah

One can not "virtue signal" if they are anonymous. Nice try, snowflake. Carful, your SJW arrogance is showing.

As always I love my fans that post as me. Thanks for that! But I've never liked Tariq I can't stand his character and I tried to watch the first episode but the kid isn't a good actor. People probably watching this more to see Method Man and people love the Tasha character. I'll wait for the Tommy one. That one will be good. Probably better than Power itself.
Yeah Yeah Yeah

-- This is possibly an over-generalization ----- Has anyone noticed that 1 hour dramas with a predominantly white cast are about police, law, crime fighting, detectives, doctors, family --- while on the other hand, 1 hour dramas with a predominately black cast are about crime, drugs, and the music industry? I realize there are a couple exceptions. And even if a cast is predominantly one race, there are always one or two characters of the other race on the show (generally) --- but I do find it interesting how the systemic racism is pretty visible merely based upon the race of the cast.

They promised us an end to POWER. They delivered !!! Now they want us to watch a show without Ghost & Tommy. I don't care about Tariq. It is like Joey after Friends ended. Beverly Hills Buntz after Hill Street Blues. Let us remember POWER for the great show it was.
