Word is out that Netflix has cancelled The Order after two seasons. Creator Dennis Heaton took to Twitter this afternoon to break the sad news to his followers.
The horror drama premiered in 2019, airing two seasons of 10 episodes each. Critically, the show garnered a generally positive reception, though it seemed to fly under the radar in terms of generating buzz. Netflix does not release viewership data.
The Order follows college freshman Jack, who pledges a secret society known as the Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose. Though he is a new recruit, Jack quickly finds himself in the middle of a war between werewolves and practitioners of dark magic.
For two seasons I was honored to work with an incredible cast and crew on The Order for @netflix. It is one of the best experiences of my career. Unfortunately, we aren't returning, but I will always cherish the memories and the props I stole. Thank you all for watching.

Although I watched the series, it was uneven at best and horrible in spots. There is better things to watch on Netflix
