HBO announced today that Insecure will be coming to an end after its already-ordered fifth season. The news comes eight months after the acclaimed comedy was last renewed, with its now-final season expected to air later this year.

The series is coming off another strong season, which again garnered high praise from both critics and fans alike. Season 4 was nominated for nine Emmys including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Insecure stars Issa Rae, who created the series along with Larry Wilmore, as one of two modern-day black women who share their awkward life experiences through their close friendship.
