The Canadian comedy will end its run this year.
March 8, 2021
It was announced today that the upcoming fifth season of Kim's Convenience will be its last. The Canadian comedy, which airs in International markets on Netflix, is set to premiere its final season on CBC up north on April 13.
The half-hour series, which has garnered acclaim for its authentic portrayal of a Korean-Canadian family, was originally slated to run for at least six seasons, but its co-creators have since decided to move on to other projects.
Kim's Convenience follows a Korean-Canadian family that operate a convenience store in the Moss Park neighborhood of Toronto, Canada. During their daily lives, the family members interact with eclectic customers, each other, and the ever-changing world around them.

This is really sad news. What a wonderful cast! I just discovered the show before Christmas and I binge watched all the seasons that were available on Netflix. We don't get to see a representation of a REAL family that has issues and conflicts and love! I will truly miss Kim's Convenience (and even Bowen Wang from SNL tossed in a "Save Kim's Convenience" on his Weekend Update piece this weekend).

Love the show. Funny, original, just plain fun to watch without any PC BS. Will miss it. @geekybandit, Netflix is the distributor, CBC is the producers.

Too bad. Great show with practically ZERO ulterior agenda, which is rare. (no politics, no wokeness.. just a good sitcom).

Why does it say Netflix? The original producers of the show is CBC not Netflix.

Truly one of the most heartwarming shows I have seen in a long time. Proud that it comes out of Canada....being a Canadian. Sorry to see it go after the upcoming season. From what I have read, the cast members are as much surprised too.

That sucks, I just found this show and it's really good compared to the other crap netflix has and better than a lot of the comedy's on live tv. I still recommend it to anyone that's looking for a good comedy.
