'Call Your Mother' Cancelled At ABC

No Season 2 for the Kyra Sedgwick comedy.

Word is out that ABC has cancelled Call Your Mother after just one season. Star Kyra Sedgwick took to Twitter with the sad news, letting her followers know that next Wednesday's episode will be the comedy's series finale.

The half-hour series premiered earlier this year as a mid-season entry but ended up underperforming. Reviews from critics were generally unfavorable and it struggled to draw a sizeable audience on Wednesday nights after 'The Conners'.

Call Your Mother stars Sedgwick as Jean, an empty-nester mother who is not thrilled that she ended up alone while her children live great lives thousands of miles away. So she decides to reinsert herself into her family's lives, hoping that her kids realize they actually need her more than they thought.

Watched this show because of Kyra Sedgwick !! Would be great if TV executives would bring back 'The Closer' or something like it !!

This show had a few good episodes, but the most recent one about the "fun family" competition was cringe worthy. I can't believe the cast didn't get up from the table read and walk out.

Another show, just light entertainment, that’s been canceled. I’m with the person who said “another reason to not get involved with any show until it gets a second season”!

No one expected this to do good. So bad I couldn't make it through one ad for it. Really forced and an out of date style.

So bad I stopped watching part way through the first episode. Not surprised it's cancelled
