The family drama will return for Season 2.
August 2, 2021
Disney+ announced today that The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes two months after the family drama wrapped its freshman run, which garnered generally positive reviews from critics.
A follow-up to the 1992 Disney film, the series follows the Mighty Ducks youth hockey club from Minnesota, which has evolved from scrappy underdogs to a formidable contender. After 12-year-old Evan Morrow is cut from the team, he and his mom decide to create their own team of misfits to challenge the cutthroat culture of today's youth sports where winning is everything. With the help of the Mighty Ducks' original coach, Gordon Bombay, this new squad rediscovers the joys of playing for love of the game.
Look for Season 2 of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers in 2022.

They removed Emilio Estevez from the show because he could not get a Covid Vaccine due to serious risk to his health from another illness he has. Today, it is proven that the shot is NOT the end all be all and everyone fired over it was thrown under the bus for politics reasons only. I thought this was the BEST show of the year during Season 1 --- I will NEVER watch it again because of the way Disney fucked over Emilio, and I urge everyone else to do the same.

It's surprising that Emilio Estevez (the good Sheen) is in this since I thought he hated TV. No brat Rob Lowe and he loves TV. Is Joshua Jackson a coach on the fringe? I like him too.

An adorable show! We watched the original movies with our kids and the show is perfect for family entertainment. The nods to the original stories was great for those of us who grew up with the movies. Hopefully Joshua Jackson guest stars on season 2.
