National Geographic has announced that Trafficked with Mariana van Zeller has been picked up for a third season. The early renewal comes three months before the docuseries returns for its sophomore run.
The show features award-winning journalist Mariana van Zeller exploring the complex and dangerous inner-workings of the global underworld's black and informal markets. She follows the chain of custody of trafficked goods to understand how contraband is obtained and see the full picture of the trafficking world from the point of view of the smugglers, law enforcement, and those caught in the crossfire.
Look for Season 3 of Trafficked with Mariana van Zeller in 2022. In the meantime, catch the Season 2 premiere on December 1.

I love this show. It shows what motivates people to do what they do, mostly money and desperation. I find myself sympathizing with the people involved in the illegal trades. Everyone has a story and life can be unpredictable and what is illegal to some is commonplace for others. I always say that the life your are exposed to determines your morality. In America white color crime is an everyday occurrence. So is politico corruption. Yet people find it normal and acceptable. So who am I do judge what people do for a living? That is the feeling I get from this series and it makes me think about the choices I would make if I were in these people's shoes.
