The crime drama earns another 10 episodes.

Epix announced today that Godfather of Harlem will be coming back for a third season. The good news comes four months after the crime drama concluded its sophomore run.
Inspired by infamous New York crime boss Bumpy Johnson, the series takes place in the 1960s with Bumpy, played by Forest Whitaker, returning home after a decade in prison to find his old neighborhood in shambles. With an Italian crime family now running the streets, Bumpy must take on the mob in order to regain control of his stomping grounds. During all this he forms an alliance with radical preacher Malcolm X, whose political rise is caught between social upheaval and a disruptive gang war.
Epix has ordered another 10 episodes for Season 3 of Godfather of Harlem, which is slated to start production this summer for a probable premiere later this year.

One of the best shows on TV right now. Great acting, interesting story lines. I love the dynamics and interplay between Malcolm X and Bumpy Johnson. Being renewed for another season is the best news in awhile for me.

This is the only reason for 1 month out of the year we get Epix to binge watch this series. Great story lines, well acted, overall great production value. I wish it would switch to a different streaming service like Pennyworth will.

"Bumpy Johnson". Sounds like he needs to see a doctor.
