HBO Max announced today that South Side has been picked up for a third season. The good news comes two months after the comedy wrapped its sophomore run, which was its first on the streaming service.
The half-hour series premiered on Comedy Central in 2019 before being moved to HBO Max in 2021. Reviews of both seasons have been positive from both viewers and critics, who have praised the show for its authentic and humorous look at life on Chicago's south side.
Set in the working class neighborhood of Englewood, the series follows two friends and community college grads who are ready to make a name for themselves. But until they get their act together, they're stuck working at Rent-T-Own, a retail-rental outlet where the town's cast of characters come together.
It’s time for the percolator!
