Nickelodeon announced today that The Patrick Star Show has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes eight months after the animated comedy premiered on the cable network.

A spin-off of 'SpongeBob Squarepants', the show follows everybody's favorite pink sea star as he hosts a bizarre and hysterical imaginary variety show from his home, where he lives with his family.

Despite debuting last summer, The Patrick Star Show is currently just halfway through its 26-episode freshman run. Today's Season 2 renewal gives the show another 26 episodes, which should see it through the better part of 2023.
