No Season 2 for the competition series.

It is being reported by Deadline that The Ultimate Surfer has been cancelled by ABC after one season. The news comes six months after the competition series wrapped its freshman run. The show aired eight episodes over the summer but ultimately failed to make a splash in the ratings.
Jesse Palmer hosted the surfing competition, which gathered some of the world's greatest up-and-coming surfers to compete in individual and team challenges with a focus on specific disciplines of the sport. Competitors trained and lived together as they vied to become one of the final four to compete for the male and female titles of The Ultimate Surfer and the chance to compete on the WSL World Tour.

That's too bad. I watched the first season and enjoyed it, but I won't really miss it come this summer.
