Amazon Freevee has renewed Bosch: Legacy for Season 2. The announcement was made at the ad-supported streamer's NewFronts presentation today, giving the upcoming drama an early pickup ahead of its premiere this Friday.
The spin-off series follows former LAPD detective Harry Bosch, who begins a new chapter in his career as a private investigator, working with his once-enemy Honey "Money" Chandler. Bosch's daughter Maddie is looking to follow in her father's footsteps, becoming a rookie patrol officer with the LAPD. As Maddie patrols the streets with her no-nonsense training officer, she grapples with what kind of cop she wants to be.
The original 'Bosch' aired on Amazon Prime Video between 2014 and 2021. The series had a long and successful 68-episode run for the online giant's streaming service, ranking as one of its longest-running and best-received originals.

I thoroughly loved and enjoyed the Bosch series. Titus makes Harry is one of the best "cop" characters I've ever seen. I was THRILLED to see Bosh: Legacy come out and am equally thrilled to see Season Two being green-lit. Bringing Harry's daughter (Maddie / Madison Lintz) to the forefront was brilliant.

I loved Bosch, but the spinoff has too many commercials. I can only hope they play it commercial-free on Amazon Prime after it has its run as the tentpole series for Freevee.

WTH is Freevee, is it like IMDb? Where it’s riddled w/ ads, even one 30 second ad is too much. We have Prime Video (actually all the main players) and loved Bosch but not enough to watch if it has ads nothing is, except college football, that’s why we subscribe to SVOD’s only if they offer ad-free subscription’s.

BOSCH is (IMHO) the best of the best Contemporary Cop / Crime / Courtroom Drama Mystery shows ever. Outstanding Production Values and excellent performances make Harry and Company a riveting experience well worth watching. Note: that everyone who I recommended it to, ended up Binge Watching to get caught up to date; and there was a huge collective GROAN when the news first came out that the series was over... followed by a HUGE Sigh of Relief upon hearing that Legacy picks right up from the last season's last Episode (as revealed in the final shots in the end credits). This is 5 Star filmmaking at its Best.

Bosch is absolutely one of the best detective shows out there.
