It is being reported that AMC+ has cancelled Moonhaven, reversing its original decision to renew the sci-fi thriller for a second season just four months ago.
The move was unexpected, as the series was a strong performer for the streaming service, ranking as its most-watched exclusive original despite ultimately garnering a mixed response from critics and fans. The cancellation is likely related to a range of cost cutting efforts announced by AMC Networks last week.
Set a century from now, the show follows lunar cargo pilot and smuggler Bella Sway, who finds herself accused of a crime and marooned on a utopian community known as Moonhaven, which is set on a 500 square mile Garden of Eden built on the Moon. Its purpose is to find solutions to the problems that will soon end civilization on Mother Earth. Skeptical of this paradise, Bella becomes caught up in a conspiracy to gain control of the artificial intelligence responsible for Moonhaven's miracles. She teams up with a local detective to stop the forces that want to destroy Earth's last hope.

Like, how do you get wood based electronic gadgets where the tech is embedded into the wood? Wood is famously a bad conductor, it doesn't make sense. The hippie vibe also made no sense, especially since only 4 generations or 100 years have passed since the moon colony was established. Tech / AI cannot change fundamental human nature.
