Amazon's Prime Video announced today that The Terminal List has been renewed for a second season. The news comes seven months after the conspiracy thriller released its eight-episode freshman run, which received mixed reviews from critics but generally high praise among viewers.

Based on the novel of the same name by Jack Carr, the series stars Chris Pratt as Navy SEAL James Reece, whose entire platoon is ambushed during a covert mission, leaving him to return home to his family with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability. But as new evidence comes to light, Reece learns about dark forces working against him, and goes back into action to protect his family and loved ones.

In addition to Season 2 of The Terminal List, the streaming service also announced that a new prequel series has been ordered that will focus on fan-favorite Ben Edwards, portrayed by Taylor Kitsch. It will be an elevated espionage thriller that follows Edwards' journey from Navy SEAL to CIA paramilitary operator, exploring the darker side of warfare and the human cost that comes with it.
