Fox announced today that Accused has been renewed for a second season. The news comes nine episodes into the anthology drama's freshman run, which is currently airing new episodes on Tuesday nights.
The show has been a solid performer for the network since its January premiere. Its debut episode ranks as television's highest-rated drama debut in two years. Season-to-date, the show is averaging 7.5 million multi-platform viewers.
Based on the BBC's BAFTA-winning crime anthology, Accused explores how a regular person can get caught up in an extraordinary situation, ultimately revealing how one wrong turn leads to another - until it's too late to turn back. Each episode focuses on a different crime in a different city, using an entirely original cast.
Look for Season 2 of Accused during the 2023-2024 season.

I have yet to see a show that highlights and informs as well as this one does. Almost every episode hits on a current societal issue with a strong hammer. The writing is honest and determined. I don't watch this show as much for entertainment as I do to see how different facets of current life will be creatively exposed. No other show does it quite like this one does. The acting also is superb. I understand why so many have decided not to watch it though because it is raw and, for the most part, unfiltered and most people don't really want to see the underbelly of much of life as it is today. I imagine they are not watching the news either.

It's a good show. Have watched most of the episodes. My only dislike is there is no closure on some of the episodes. Unless they will be answered in the second season.

I've been enjoying it. The guest stars have been fun to watch. The Jason Ritter episode was probably my favorite. Glad it's coming back.

I liked a few of the episodes, then lost interest. I just took it off my dvr recording. I went back to watching the FBI Series in the same time slot.
