The animated series will return for Season 2.
June 15, 2023
Max announced today at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival that Velma has been picked up for a second season. The renewal comes four months after the animated series wrapped its 10-episode freshman run, which ultimately garnered a mixed reception from critics and viewers.
The show follows Velma Dinkley, who is known as the unsung and underappreciated brains of the Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc. gang. The humorous spin on the beloved character unmasks the complex and colorful past of the mystery solver back when she was a teenage would-be detective.
Look for Season 2 of Velma in 2024.

One other thing William Hanna and Joseph Barbera are not just rolling in their graves, but doing somersaults.

I Guess TV is really dead if they consider this making money for the network. Zazlev wouldn't know his foot from his hand if you gave him a diagram - and that Is putting things PG. - I feel violated by this show.

Gotham Knights gets cancelled but Velma gets renewed... No justice in the world.

Haters don’t like it bc it messes with the bland original formula. But this was a fun show.

What are you doing, Zazlev? Of all the thing you have taken off the air, THIS is what you renew? Respect to Mindy Kayling, but really, Zazlev?

Absolutely shameful, vile, disgusting cartoon.
It is so bad I couldn't get through the shower scene.
Total garbage

I know people hated it, and it has its issues. But honestly I enjoyed it and I'll tune in for a second season.
