The Japanese manga adaptation will return for Season 2.

Netflix announced today that One Piece has been renewed for a second season. The news comes two weeks after the adventure series released its 8-episode freshman run, which has garnered an overall positive reception from critics and viewers.
Based on Japan's best-selling manga series by Eiichiro Oda, the live action show follows Monkey D. Luffy, a young adventurer and budding pirate from a small village who has always longed for a life of freedom. He has powerful rubber-like abilities that he gained after eating a mysterious Devil Fruit. Luffy sets off on a perilous journey in search of the legendary treasure known as One Piece, so he can become King of the Pirates. He assembles a top crew and a ship to sail and sets off to scour the vast blue seas, outpacing the Marines and outwitting dangerous rivals at every turn.

As a Bebop fan the speed of this renewal rubs me a little raw. I never was a fan of the original OP Anime, but i will admit the LA show is much more fun and (to me) has a much better feel. I will watch season two, but i still dont like the situation.

So so glad to hear it! I can't wait to see how they portray Tony Tony Chopper and Frankie. Eventually. I doubt Frankie will make it to season 2 lol.

This is Great news! It definitely made my day! Personally, I think they should have at least renewed it for more than just one season... Should have been 2 or 3 seasons. But that how they renew shows nowadays.
