Roku Originals announced today that Morimoto's Sushi Master has been renewed for Season 2. The first-ever competition series focused on the art of sushi-making will return for a six-episode season on The Roku Channel following a strong debut this summer where it was the service's #1 on-demand title during its opening week.
"We're proud to continue partnering with our amazing collaborators at AMPLE Entertainment and the icon himself, Chef Masaharu Morimoto, to serve up another season of this first-of-its-kind competition series for audiences to savor," said Brian Tannenbaum, Head of Originals, Roku Media. "Morimoto's Sushi Master gives viewers an addictive competition that honors a rich food culture while encouraging culinary innovation worthy of being crowned Sushi Master."
World-renowned Chef Masaharu Morimoto serves as the head judge of this cooking competition where chefs compete in challenges that not only honor the skill, ingredients, delicacy, and talent needed to perfect the art of sushi-making, but also break the rules along the way. Competitors must understand the fundamentals and traditions in sushi and Japanese cuisine, and combine it with their own styles as a chef to create something amazing and unique.
this new season with 6 episodes will be much better than watching 8 hours of sushi destruction
