Starz will not be ordering a third season of the comedy.
January 5, 2024
It is being reported that Minx has been cancelled again, this time by Starz, the network that saved it from cancellation by picking up the already produced-but-unaired second season.
The half-hour series premiered in 2022 with a 10-episode run that garnered high praise from critics. While HBO Max ordered a renewal shortly after, the move was reversed later that year as part of the streaming service axing a number of its originals related to an overall scaling back of content. Starz stepped in a month later to pick up the second season, which aired this past summer.
Set in 1970s Los Angeles, Minx follows an earnest young feminist who joins forces with a low-rent publisher to create the first erotic magazine for women.

Season two: Being homosexual and gay bashing in the 70s.
The two seasons had NOTHING to do with one another. Why was Joyce even in season 2.. she had NO BEARING whatsoever.
But then...we have yet to finish Season 2. Just doesn't have that original sparkle at all. The zany underdog and fish-out-of-water elements were all gone. Just historical name dropping and the bog of fame and success.
