Netflix announced today that Rhythm + Flow is finally going to be making its long awaited Season 2 return in the near future. It has been over four years since the music competition series aired its freshman run. While a renewal was announced back in 2020, all has been silent in the years since.
In a video released by the streamer today, a new trio of judges were announced for the upcoming season, which has yet to pencil in a premiere date. DJ Khaled, Ludacris, and Latto will be taking the place of Season 1 judges Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and Tip "T.I." Harris.
"We are so excited to partner with Netflix for the second season of Rhythm + Flow. This season features a powerhouse panel of judges, each with a distinct and influential role in hip-hop culture. In this significant moment for the genre, the focus extends beyond the music alone," said Jesse Collins & Dionne Harmon, Executive Producers, Rhythm + Flow. "We're seeking unconventional voices and authentic stories that peel back layers and invite fans to immerse themselves in the contestants' world as we spotlight the continually evolving spirit of hip-hop."
Rhythm + Flow gives unsigned rap artists the chance to become the next hip hop superstar. The judges follow their journey, offering critiques and feedback until one is left standing, taking home a $250,000 grand prize.
