Disney+ announced today that Percy Jackson and the Olympians has been renewed for Season 2. Coming a week after the drama wrapped its 8-episode freshman run, the news is no surprise as the show had one of the top 5 season premieres of 2023, with the first episode garnering 26.2 million views in its first three weeks on Disney+ and Hulu.
"Rich in magic, wonder, adventure and heart, Percy Jackson and the Olympians captivated the imaginations of viewers of all ages everywhere," said Ayo Davis, president, Disney Branded Television. "We're thrilled to embark on an exciting new quest and a season two with Rick Riordan, our fantastic partners at 20th Television, and the exceptional ensemble of cast and creative talent that bring this story to life."
Based on Disney Hyperion's best-selling book series by Rick Riordan, the series follows Percy Jackson, a 12-year-old modern demigod who is coming to terms with his newfound divine powers. When Zeus, the sky god, accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt, Percy and his friends, Grover and Annabeth, embark on the adventure of a lifetime to find it and restore order to Olympus.

I can't get over how much Riordan doesn't care about the characters he wrote. Annabeth is tan, with curly blonde hair. Looks like a typical California girl, except for her grey eyes. The purposefully hired an actress who looks nothing like the character. She might be a good actor, but we all know it's really just for diversity and for the woke dei agenda. Riordan is a coward
