OWN announced today that First-Time Buyer's Club has been renewed for a second season. The news comes less than two weeks after the unscripted series wrapped its 10-episode freshman run, where it became Saturday night's #1 original cable series in its time period across all key African American demographics.
"This series perfectly embodies OWN's commitment to serve and empower our audience across many facets of their lives, including the journey towards home ownership," said Tina Perry, President of OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. "Amina inspires us to see that home ownership is more than just possession of a piece of property, it's about owning a piece of one's dream and securing a solid foundation."
In the show, teacher-turned-realtor Amina Stevens works with clients in the Tampa Bay area who are intimidated by the overwhelming housing market. She uses her expertise to educate and inspire them, becoming their trusted partner as she guides the prospective buyers through every stage of the home-buying journey.
Production on Season 2 of First-Time Buyer's Club will begin this year, with a return expected later in 2024.
