It is being reported that Fox has renewed The Cleaning Lady for a fourth season. The pickup comes with two episodes remaining in the crime drama's third season, which concludes on May 21 with a 2-hour finale. The news follows the passing of one of its stars, Adan Canto, earlier this year. The actor succumbed to appendiceal cancer in January at the age of 42.

Word is that going forward, executive producers and showrunners Miranda Kwok and Jeannine Renshaw will be stepping down from their roles. Kwok, who developed the show, will remain as a consulting producer while she concentrates on developing new programs with Warner Bros. Television. The hunt for a new showrunner is reportedly in progress.

The hour-long series follows Thony De La Rosa, a resourceful Cambodian doctor who comes to the United States in search of medical treatment to save the life of her ailing son. When the system fails and pushes her into hiding, Thony ends up as a cleaner for the mob, where she uses her intelligence and cunning to forge her own path in the criminal underworld.

Look for Season 4 of The Cleaning Lady during the 2024-2025 broadcast season.
