The sci-fi drama will not return for Season 3.

It is being reported that Outer Range has been cancelled by Prime Video after two seasons. The news comes less than two months after the sci-fi Western released its 7-episode sophomore run, which, unfortunately for viewers, did not wrap up the story and left more than a few unanswered questions.
The hour-long series follows the Abbotts, who are having a tough time dealing with not only the disappearance of their daughter-in-law, but the owners of the neighboring profit-driven ranch making a play for their land. An untimely death in the community sets off a chain of events, including the arrival of a mysterious black void in the Abbotts' west pasture. Wild revelations unfold as patriarch Royal fights to protect his family.

There should be a fine imposed on networks that abruptly cancel TV shows on cliffhangers.

@Byteme Yep, I think with this I am done starting a show not knowing if it will have an ending. I'm going to keep watching the shows I already have started, but no new shows until the run is complete, will give me more time for my video games which I KNOW have an ending!

Half way through Season 1, I heard Season 3 had been cancelled. I was about to stop watching but then decided I would force myself to watch the remaining episodes just to see why this show was cancelled.
I have been a SciFi fan since the “fifties” (that’s the 1950s), and there have been a few stories that I have not liked … this is one of those. Hocus Pocus turns me off.

Disappointing. This show was great for people who like to think and build up theories. Engage with a show. It's not for people who enjoy the Kardashians or prefer sitcoms.

And Ed G you hit the nail right on the head. They could have done so much with an idea like this and messed it up. Take this show to where it belongs, the garbage.
