No Season 3 for the horror comedy.
July 15, 2024
It is being reported that Syfy has cancelled Reginald the Vampire after two seasons. The news comes less than a week after the horror comedy wrapped its sophomore run, with its episode on July 10 now serving as its series ender.
Based on the 'Fat Vampire' novels by Johnny B. Truant, the series follows Reginald Andres, a regular guy who stumbles into a world full of beautiful, vain vampires. Now a new vampire himself, Reginald becomes an unlikely hero navigating all types of obstacles – from the girl he loves but can't be with, to the vampire chieftain who wants him dead. Luckily he has some unrecognized powers of his own to help him along the way.
Today's cancellation further reduces the number of original scripted series on Syfy. The future of 'Chucky,' which is a co-production with USA Network, has yet to be determined; 'The Ark' returns this Wednesday for its second season; 'SurrealEstate' has been renewed for Season 3.

Yeah. Agreed. Slim pickens. And Abbott El was lackluster last season. I mean sure'will they won't they can drive some episodes, but that is an old hat and I doubt underfunded schools have time to display todays ross and rachel or harold and maude. Too long for gimmicks. Lets get back to that guy from the walking dead's garden. Or the mildly at school religious, church lady who earned something like an emmy. Or the guy with the mop and bucket. The show has promise if they veer back off sitcom clap-trap.
This Reginald series, I was sure it was garbage from the get go.
Spider-Mans right hand man vamping on a network show.
Lame.
But I still want him to succeed and avoid this garbage.
